Dry Press Molded Pulp Details:

It manufactured use forming mold and transfer mold then oven dried or natural wind and after pressed, we called it Dry-Press in the indusry. Typical wall thickness ranges from 1.5mm to 3.0mm. It create one side smooth surface, the other side is rough. Typical examples are egg tray and industry packaging. The raw material is 100% OCC(Old Corrugated Container). The mold and product cost much cheaper than wet pressing process.

1) Are you a trader or a manufacturer?
We are a manufacturer, we have our own production plants located in Southern China.

2) What type of product do you make?
We produce Molded Pulp Trays and Tooling/Mold.

There's three types of molded pulp trays we supply:

  • Type 1: Thermoformed / Thin Walled

Manufactured use 'Thermoformed' process (also known as 'Wet Press') allows for incredibly smooth rigid quality molded pulp tray, the wall thickness range from 0.6mm to 1.3mm. Main used for tableware, high-quality electronics package and cosmetic package.

  • Type 2: Transfer molded

Transfer molded means after formed then transfer under the sun or oven to dry, which is widely used today, we called it Dry Pressing. The product surface feature is one side smooth but no so smooth as type 1, the other side is rough, the wall thickness range from 1.5mm to 3.0mm. Main used for home appliance, electronics, hardware, wine shipper, cooler, egg cartons, fruit container, cup carrier/holder, medical care.

  • Type 3: Processed

It manufactured with a secondary or specific treatment process, such as additional coating, printing, hot stamping or additives.

3) Are your molded pulp products biodegradable?
Yes, our pulp tray can be 100% biodegraded in natural conditions within 90 days, which is largely shorter than the degradation of synthetic plastics

4) Will there be a mold fee for doing this trays?
Yes, there be a mold fee for all customized design.
